Why this market

The Australian food and beverage market enjoys strong global demand, especially in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. By 2022, the region’s food and beverage market will be worth AU$267 billion.

The GCC region has low agricultural output and high disposable income. The consumption mix is also shifting towards convenient foods and dining-out. Domestic food and beverage manufacturing that relies of imported inputs is also rising. Maintaining uninterrupted supplies during the pandemic has reinforced Australia’s position as a reliable supplier of quality products that have the highest safety standards.

Globally, there is a pronounced trend towards health foods. Having adopted innovations in food-tech, NSW companies can take advantage of the emerging industry trends and satisfy the growing niche consumer.
