Food & beverage sector overview
The Australian F&B market enjoys strong global demand, especially in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Maintaining uninterrupted supplies during the pandemic has reinforced our position as a reliable supplier of quality products that have the highest safety standards.
The GCC region has low agricultural output and high disposable income. By 2022, the region’s F&B market will be worth AUD 267 billion. The consumption mix is also shifting towards convenient foods and dining-out. Domestic F&B manufacturing that relies of imported inputs is also rising.
Globally, there is a pronounced trend towards health foods. Having adopted innovations in food-tech, NSW companies can take advantage of the emerging industry trends and satisfy the growing niche consumer.
