Cyber Ambassador program
Workshops by industry professionals that raise awareness about careers in cyber security, encourage and enable students to join this fast-evolving, exciting industry.
About this program
There is a worldwide shortage of cyber security professionals, and this gap is expected to grow.
To address this skills shortage, the NSW Government runs the NSW Cyber Ambassador program to raise awareness, attract talent and strengthen the pathways to enter the industry. Growing a strong and skilled cyber workforce is key to growing the cyber security industry, and a pillar of the 2021 NSW Cyber Security Strategy.
Why is cyber security important?
Cyber security is the spine of a strong digital society, providing a trusted environment necessary to grow digital transformation and the confidence needed to advance digital adoption. At the same time, strong cyber capability protects the economy from losses due to cyber-crimes and builds the foundational capability to grow the emerging digital technology sector.
