Local Area Acceleration Toolkit for Councils

Global cities have a great 24-hour economy. Whether it’s bars and restaurants, live performance venues or shops open into the evening, there is huge potential to create vibrant and diverse areas after dark.

The Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner has developed the Local Area Acceleration Toolkit for Councils as a resource to support councils identify key elements of a plan to develop a local 24-hour economy in their communities.

This toolkit has been developed in line with the 24-Hour Economy Strategy (PDF) 3.4 MB . It is by no means a definitive guide, but a conversation starter to develop and enhance strategies.
