CBDs Revitalisation Program

Eligible councils, businesses and cultural institutions across Greater Sydney can soon apply for funding for activations and incentives to encourage people back into CBDs.

About the Program

The NSW Government is investing $50 million in the CBDs Revitalisation Program to encourage people back into CBDs across Greater Sydney and surrounds and boost the state’s economic activity.

Eligible CBDs

Eligible CBDs and urban centres will include:

  • Sydney CBD
  • Parramatta
  • Liverpool
  • Penrith
  • Chatswood
  • North Sydney
  • Bankstown
  • Blacktown
  • Fairfield
  • Hurstville
  • Campbelltown-Macarthur
  • Wollongong
  • Newcastle.


Funding will be open to councils, businesses and cultural institutions. An eligibility criteria will be published soon. 

Priority will be given to co-ordinated and collaborative bids. 

Applications will open shortly.
