About the R&D Fund
The $6 million R&D Fund aims to stimulate the development and commercialisation of innovative products that address the health, social and/or economic impacts of COVID-19 and will ultimately benefit the people of NSW.
The R&D Fund targets products within Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4-9 to help them move along the TRL scale, enable them to attract large-scale private investment, or expand into global markets.
Technology-rich startups, scaleups or small to medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to commercialise innovative technology.
The core project location must be in NSW. Ineligible projects include activities which largely occur outside of NSW and do not benefit NSW.
Refer to the program guidelines (when available) for the full eligibility criteria.
Grants for each successful applicant will be in the range of $250,000 to $1 million.
Successful applicants will be determined by an Expert Panel representing government, industry, and academia.
The Expert Panel will have sufficient flexibility to tailor funding support according to what it believes is required to assist the development and commercialisation of a product.
Refer to the program guidelines (when available) for the assessment criteria.
The program guidelines will be available when applications open.
